Sweet Tooth

I can recall wonderful childhood memories of my cousin and me going to the bakery across the street from my grandma's house. During the summer, the sweet smell of fancy sugars wafted over to her house and immediately into our noses. My cousin and I would find loose change on the counters and in my grandfather's piggy bank. We were determined to pay for our own desserts. On one occasion, my uncle made the trip with us and was so embarrassed that we paid with nickels, dimes, and quarter dollars. We were just happy to say we bought our own goodies for the day.

Anderson's Bakery still has a special place in my heart. The yummy fragrances evoke the same feelings I felt at a young age (and this time I can pay with more than just change). Every time I go to visit family, it is a top priority. The staff there is so friendly and always adds a little something special to my purchase. The treats are the best I've ever tasted. Don't believe me? I'll be more than happy to compare and contrast;)

The Friday before I left to travel back to school, my mom surprised me with a box of Anderson's. It's an amazing feeling to know that no matter how old I get, the little things will always make me smile.

My day was made when my mom came into my room with the signature white box. A surprise I am always happy to receive.

The iced gingerbread man is one of my favorites. Since Mardi Gras is coming up soon, they used green, purple, and gold frosting to decorate it. I love how festive the bakery becomes throughout the year.

The brownies are TO DIE FOR! So soft, so moist, heavenly!

Power Three: Golden Globe Edition

Kate Beckinsale looks dazzling in this Zuhair Murad dress. The metallic sequins sparkle in the natural light and hug her body like no other. She's never looked better.

Leave it to Cate Blanchett to bring the perfect touch of elegance to the Red Carpet. The intricate lace detailing is timeless and beautiful.

Lupita Nyong'o owned the Golden Globes in her red Ralph Lauren gown. This has to be my favorite look of the night. The hair, the cape, and the minimal jewelry left me speechless.

Lust List: Solace London

I am absolutely obsessed with a brand I discovered while searching for my New Year's Eve dress. Featured on asos.com, Solace London is timeless perfection. Each dress/separate is beautiful, and I have yet to find one I didn't want to purchase immediately.

Most of the dresses are black or white (one combines both colors), but Solace incorporates a few colorful dress options into its collections. I love that the designers chose two classic colors for the majority of their merchandise. You never have to worry about it going out of style. In addition to dresses, their jumpsuits are pretty cool as well.

The dress I currently own, Lazark Cut Out Mini Dress, is made of quality materials that move with my body. It hugs every curve and fits like a glove, not too loose and not too tight. I would recommend this brand to any woman and can't wait to see more clothing in the upcoming seasons. I am hooked and will look to Solace London first any time I am in need of the perfect dress for a special occasion. In this case, the special occasion includes any day of the week:) See more Solace London pieces on their website and asos.com.
