Power Three

Glamour

I loved Rihanna’s look at the Lanvin show during Paris Fashion week. I can’t decide what I love more, the camel colored hat, grey fur on grey wool, or her perfect bob with blunt bangs. Her natural, flawless makeup accentuates her hazel eyes. I could get used to this look.

I don’t know about you guys, but making an omelet gives me pure anxiety. I never know when to flip it over and if it’ll all flip at the same time. When everything spills out of the omelet, it can be a morning buzz kill. This has happened to me more than once:( PureWow has come to my rescue with a solution I can’t wait to try. No flipping required. Breakfast just got easier.

An Ode to Fashion Month

It's sad to see fashion month come to a close. I feel as if it just started. Now I am anxiously awaiting September. One great thing about September is that it will be MUCH warmer! The bone-chilling cold shot straight through my gloves, and my clothes for that matter. Some days I thought I'd go back to the office with fewer fingers than I began with. I can proudly say I survived my first fashion month experience *insert sigh of relief.*

One of my favorite moments of NYFW was the Joie presentation. As soon as I saw the outfits and the black and white backdrops, I had dreams of spending time in Paris while sipping coffee at a café. The looks were so simple yet très chic. The color palette featured tons of neutrals. Each outfit provided me with more items to add to my long list of needed basics for the fall. One new idea that I will take with me is the combination of sandals and socks. This is the perfect transition from summer to fall if you live in a colder climate and want those sandals to last throughout the fall season. After seeing multiple old men wear socks with their Birkenstocks, I swore I would never replicate this style. I guess you can never say never. Joie put the perfect spin on this “memorable” combo.

Power Three: The Academy Awards

Hope you all watched the Academy Awards last night or at least saw the Red Carpet fashion. Between homework and prepping for Monday, I didn't get to watch the show. I heard Ellen was amazing! I mean what do you expect, she's Ellen:) I did see the glorious gowns and tuxes which are the main reasons I watch the show to begin with. Who can deny the fashion?! This had to be my favorite award show fashion line up so far. Everyone brought their A-game and it was so exciting to see. Most of the people I loved have been Red Carpet favorites the entire season (Cate, Lupita, Naomi) so I decided to highlight the couples who took my breath away. You can't get much better than a gown AND a tux. These couples complement each other so well.

How could you deny the hottest couple on the Red Carpet, better yet the Universe! Camila and Matthew are just stunning together. This pale pink gown looks beautiful against her warm complexion. She definitely had the hottest accessory of the night. These two never cease to amaze me.

Attention: well-dressed baby on board. Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde's black and blue combination was an A+ in my book. I loved his navy suit designed by Prada and the turtleneck detail on her Valentino dress. Pregnancy has never looked better, Olivia.

When it comes to ANY award show, no one does it like the king and queen. Leave it to Angelina and Brad to embody Old Hollywood Glamour. The picture says it all. Consider me speechless.
